Joel Emery, Owner
Joel Emery is the owner of North Horizon Consulting. With over 25 years of experience in the software industry, Joel brings a broad expertise in product development, consulting, business development, sales and general management. He has built significant international experience while holding senior management roles in Europe, North America and had significant involvement in developing business in Asia Pacific.
In recent years, Joel’s primary focus was on the internet of things and the digital transformation as well as Product Led and Product Sales strategies.
He has held executive leadership positions including VP and GM of IoT business, VP of cloud products at Wind River and Head of Engineering at GE Digital.
Previously, Joel also was the professional services General Manager for the EMEA region at Wind River where he drove business in all market verticals including Industrial, Aerospace & Defense, Mobile, Automotive, Networking and Digital Home.
Prior to Wind River, Joel held various management and development positions in the telecom industry and earned his B. Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, at the University of applied Science in Fribourg, Switzerland.
